Alignment Based Yoga~All Levels

Yoga is for everyone. No one is too old or too stiff, too overweight or too thin, nor too inflexible. Our certified teacher guides students of all ages and physical conditions through classes which are safe, accessible and rewarding. Props are utilized, when necessary, to allow for deeper understanding of the asanas(postures).yoga-3

Classes will vary from week to week, incorporating physical postures, meditation and breath-work.

We would be honored to share in your yoga journey, weather you’ve been practicing for years or if you are joining us for your very first class.

Janet Mittelstadt

Janet Mittelstadt, has embraced yoga as part of her daily life since 2010. She is most inspired by BKS Iyengar and all those teachers following his spiritual path. She is filled with joy and is dedicated to her students. She believes that yoga is accessible to everyone, and that everyone can and will experience its benefits. Her favorite pose is Kurmasana, the tortoise pose, which says a great deal about her if you can figure out why! She currently serves as Human Resource Director in Student Services at the UW-Milwaukee and is progressing along the path towards a certificate in the Iyengar tradition of yoga. Her weekly practice and training of yoga is from all the teachers at the Milwaukee Yoga Center (MYC) where she also attended 9 three-day workshops with Mary Obendorfer and Eddy Marks (San Diego Iyengar Yoga Center), 7 three-day workshops with John Schumacher (United Woods, Washington DC) and both the 2014 and 2015 John Schumacher’s Teacher Training Workshops. She is a member of Iyengar National Associate of the United States (IYNAUS), the Iyengar Yoga Association of the Midwest and Yoga Alliance RYT 200.
